We have a new service organization in our church - Hardy Methodist Women!

Artie Erwin of Beds for Kids spoke to the Methodist Women at their April meeting. Beds for Kids provides beds, mattresses and bedding for children in the Greater Texarkana area who do not have beds. The referrals come from Child Protective Services. This is a great help to those who are caring for foster children and well as families trying to stay together. Since 2018 there have been 829 beds given out in this area! The Beds for Kids ministry was started in our area by Walnut Street Church of Christ but there is so much need that other churches and organizations are stepping up to help. Hardy Methodist Women gave a financial donation. In addition the group plans to hold a Bedding Drive and to host a Bed-Building Day.
